A soldier was injured by a landmine explosion in Kirants village sector of Armenia’s Tavush Province.

"There is a serviceman who sustained a landmine explosion wound. According to preliminary data, his life is not in danger," defense ministry spokesperson Aram Torosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The soldier was transferred to the Ijevan city medical center, then he will probably be transferred to the capital, Yerevan.

This is the second such incident during demining operations in Tavush Province in recent days.
