The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, commented on the reports about the preparation of an assassination attempt against the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"It is possible that this could be the first evidence that the West has decided to liquidate him [i.e. Zelenskyy]," Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

The Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine announced Thursday the arrest of a Polish citizen. According to them, he collaborated with Russian intelligence services and offered them assistance in preparing an assassination attempt against Zelenskyy when latter arrived in Poland. The investigation believes that this man was to provide information about security measures at the Rzeszow-Jasionka airport in Poland.
